IIED Europe is a small and recently established organisation, with its office in Amsterdam. We are part of the IIED’s family of organisations, but our focus is on Europe as a lever for global change.
We build on IIED’s experience in finding innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing sustainable development challenges for half a century, but have a flexible nature and adaptive capacity that allows us to quickly identify and respond to today’s complex and unpredictable challenges, and to spearhead new areas of research for the IIED family.

About IIED Europe
IIED Europe aims to maximise the impact of its work by delivering through partnerships. As a small and recently established organisation, we work primarily with others to grow our collective impact.
We seek to work with organisations that share our core values, but focus on complementary issues. This will allow us to build a series of strategic partnerships, which will in turn enable us to maximise the impact of IIED Europe’s outputs and outcomes on European decision-making arenas by operating through coalitions of organisations.
We aim to stay a small and agile organisation, so we can respond quickly to the rapidly changing environments we operate in.
